How to determine the grade of cut-resistant gloves:

According to the EN388 standard, cut-resistant gloves can be divided into 5 grades. The grades can be determined from four aspects, including the number of times that gloves material can withstand repeated friction (abrasion resistance), the number of times that gloves material can withstand cutting objects (cut resistance), the force required to tear a pre-cut hole in gloves material (tear resistance), and the force required to pierce the palm of gloves with a specified long nail (puncture resistance).

How to Choose the Right Cut-Resistant Gloves:

Firstly, to identify the potential hand hazards at the work site. Is it to prevent cuts from sharp parts & thin plates, or cuts & punctures from handheld knives? If the former, refer to EN388 standard, if the latter, refer to EN1082-1 standard.

Secondly, to determine if there are other requirements at the work site, such as waterproofing, oil resistance, breathability, comfort, abrasion resistance, flexibility, or size requirements.

Finally, to select suitable cut-resistant gloves on the basis of above two points and actual budget requirements,.

Precautions for cleaning cut-resistant gloves:

1. Wash cut-resistant gloves with soapy water (50 degrees Celsius) or hot water (50 degrees Celsius) mixed with detergent at least once a day.

2. Store cleaned cut-resistant gloves in a cool, ventilated place.

3. Do not clean wire mesh gloves by hitting them with hard objects.

4. Avoid contacting with sharp objects when use cut-resistant gloves.

Cut-resistant gloves are difficult to cut and protect user's hands. In order to choose the right cut-resistant gloves, it requires not only find suitable work glove suppliers, but also have to understand the relevant product knowledge.
