Are work gloves suitable for all occasions?

When wearing work gloves for electric and fire welding operations, you need to check whether the leather or canvas surface is stiff, thin, or has holes. If there are defects, they should not be used. They should be of sufficient length and the wrists should not be exposed.

 

Not all work occasions are suitable for wearing gloves. For industries that require fine adjustment, wearing work gloves is not convenient for operation; in addition, for operators who use drilling machines, milling machines, conveyors, and parts with the risk of pinching. They are in danger of being entangled or clamped by the machine if they use gloves.

 

The following situations should be distinguished

☞ When using a grinder, you should wear work gloves. But both of hands should always hold the handle of grinders tightly.

☞ When using lathe to grind materials, you cannot wear work gloves, becuase the lathe will roll gloves into entanglement.

☞ When operating a drilling machine, you cannot wear work gloves. The gloves will be stuck in the rotating chuck.

☞ When grinding metal on a bench grinder, you cannot wear work gloves, even tight gloves will be at risk of being caught in the machine.

 

When using work gloves, you must analyze workpiece, equipment and working conditions firstly, and then choose safety gloves made of appropriate materials and easy to operate to play a protective role.
